Another Aussie band today, this time its the release of Kisschasys third studio album titled Seizures.
Kisschasy are the quiet achievers of Australian indie pop. While other bands yell and scream about their achievements, the Melbourne four-piece have simply gotten on with the business of selling records, topping charts and touring.
Seizures, the group’s third album doesn’t stray far from their winning formula. Comprised of radio-friendly indie pop, it was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by, Rob Schnapf – the same man who’d previously worked with Beck, Powderfinger and The Vines. The group are currently on the road in support of the first single, Generation Why – expect the album to creep up the charts in the coming weeks and months.

UMT have released the soundtrack for the upcoming romantic/drama film called “The Time Travelers Wife” starring Rachel McAdams <3 and Eric Bana. You can check out the movie trailer here.
The score to The Time Traveler’s Wife was composed by Mychael Danna, who recorded his score with the Hollywood Studio Symphony at the Ocean Way Studios during the fall of 2008.
“The Time Traveler’s Wife” is based on the best-selling book about a love that transcends time. Clare (Rachel McAdams) has been in love with Henry (Eric Bana) her entire life. Henry is a time traveler – cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting timeline. Despite being forced apart with no warning, Clare desperately tries to build a life with her one true love. The soundtrack features gripping music by composer Mychael Danna (”(500) Days of Summer”, “Fracture”), a new version of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” by Broken Social Scene, and “Broken” by Lifehouse.

Big Twins (aka Twin Gambino) is a Queensbridge original. He emerged early from the Mobb Deep camp and appeared on each of their trend-setting records, but it was with the addition of Alchemist to the crew that Twin really filled his potential. Alchemist jumped on-board with a vengeance and took the Infamous Mobb under his wing by forging the underground hit, “Special Edition”. Meanwhile, recognizing the immense potential in Twin’s gritty voice and reckless personality, he focused heavily on their own partnership. Alc and Twin continued this chemistry on the road, where they mashed through Europe as a duo and further popularized their names.
Over the years, Big Twins has continued to embody the raw sound that fans still desire from Hip Hop in it’s authentic form and this is precisely what he delivers in his official debut, The Project Kid; an uncut presentation of QB street narrative. The album is littered with guests, but is led by the appearance of (currently-incarcerated) Prodigy. Though Prodigy managed to record a wealth of music before he was sent away, these three songs are the only as-yet un-released of the bunch. Alchemist also makes an appearance on the mic, along with Godfather, and Un Pacino (of Hard White), but Twin’s true backbone is solidified by his top-shelf cast of producers. Alchemist heads the charge with three brand-new bangers, Havoc laces us with two, and the remainder are expertly procured by Jake One and Sid Roams, both donating some of the heaviest beats of the moment.
This album is a true harkening to what made QB an epicenter for this music: authentic creativity born in the streets and delivered to the people. The raw answer to the fleeting hi-gloss of today…

SiRE have just released the latest (Third) studio album from popular Australian rock band “Jet” which is due to be released on the 25th of August.
The band have been in the studio since 2008 working on the album. After touring was completed for their previous album, Shine On, the band took a short break. The album was originally thought to be released in late 2008 but a secret show was played in Melbourne in December 2008 only to debut new material. Various tracks that will be featured on the album were played at this concert including the first single “She’s a Genius”.
The track “K.I.A (Killed in Action)” was added to Jet’s website in early April 2009. Altsounds.com first reported on the album in late April 2009 – drawing on information from the leaked press kit and providing the image of the album cover.
